Job Overview

Coordinates and administers physical therapy evaluations and treatments in the inpatient and outpatient programs. The responsibilities of this position include considering the needs and developmental level of infants, toddlers, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough and accurate physical therapy assessment/reassessments for infants, toddlers, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients according to department policy and APTA standards. Performs standardized developmental assessments in an accurate manner for appropriate patients in a timely manner. Challenges self to expand knowledge of new treatment interventions based on best practice
  • Develops therapeutic intervention goals and ensures implementation of plans utilizing physical therapy modalities and procedures in concert with the patient/family/multidisciplinary team.
  • Records accurate inpatient and outpatient evaluation documentation/notes according to the established guidelines of the professional organization and departmental policy. Experience with electronic documentation.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in physical therapy required
  • Licensed in state of practice required
  • 3 years’ experience preferred in Ortho and pediatric
