Job Overview

The Physical Therapist Position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.

 

This position is full-time, benefits eligible and exempt. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
  • Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
  • Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
  • Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.
  • In cooperation with other local leaders, offers exceptional care following the Shriners Hospitals for Children® FOCUSED©™ Program, a system-wide model for professional practice that stresses and emphasizes patient-centered care, or always putting the needs of the patients (and their families first).

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current unencumbered Physical Therapy licensure in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of PT or OT practice experience
  • Pediatric Experience
  • APTA credentialied clinical instructor
