At Shriners Children's St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties you will find at our facility include limb lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics and plastic surgery.
We have an opening for a Patient Access Representative to join our team. Primary functions include scheduling of outside tests, registering patients for appointments/admissions, obtaining necessary verifications/authorizations, screening phone calls, performing duties as needed for the efficient flow of patients through the outpatient department.
The Patient Access Representative is the first person that our patients and caregivers will have the opportunity to interact with. This position provides support to our patients as they are experiencing a life changing event. Will work wtih the caregiver to schedule appointments, perform pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients, and provide patients with information regarding access to additional external financial resources. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support our patients with issues dealing with scheduling and questions for the provider(s). In addition, you will maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies by obtaining various consents.
