Job Overview

Shriners currently has an opening for a Full-time Sr. Radiologic Technologist  to join our Vancouver, WA team. Radiologic Technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner while acting as a leader and resource for others.  This individual assumes the responsibilities of lead in the leader's absence.  In addition, carries out other departmental duties as needed.

 

The pay range for this position is $35.05-$52.58/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competent technical skills in the use of imaging equipment, quality control and troubleshooting
  • Consistently demonstrates standards of leadership.  Collaborates and communicates with department leader.  Assumes the responsibilities of lead in the leader's absence
  • Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s)
  • Participate in management of staff resources including scheduling, orientation, competency, and education
  • Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct patient, correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views)
  • Reviews images for diagnostic quality, which includes proper collimation, use of markers, and positioning accuracy
  • Documents consistently and accurately in EMR, PACS, and any other areas per facility requirements
  • Maintains professional credentials as required by ARRT and/or state regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate or Certificate Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice as required by State only
  • 5 years Pediatric and/or Orthopedic
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
