Shriners Children’s Chicago offers specialized care for a wide range of pediatric orthopedic, bone and joint conditions, including rare diseases and syndromes. Other specialties include spine and scoliosis care, plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate care, comprehensive rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries.

Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Non-Certified Surgical Tech. The Non-Certified Surgical Tech, under the supervision of the director of surgical services, assists the surgery staff with infection control, housekeeping, stocking supplies and a variety of administrative duties to include maintaining the incoming and outgoing communications of the Surgical Services Unit. Every effort has been made to make this job description as complete as possible; however, the non-certified surgical technician may be required to perform other related duties and activities. Competence is assured through an initial assessment of qualifications, completion of an initial orientation and on-going periodic evaluations.
The pay range for this position is $22.67/hour - $28.33/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

High School Diploma / GED Required.
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience Required.
Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures Preferred.
