Job Overview

The Corporate Director, Professional Provider Relations is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that strengthen physician relationships, grow provider/patient outreach, and expand market presence. This role collaborates with clinical, operational, and marketing teams to ensure referring providers are effectively engaged and supported. The Director drives service line growth through outreach strategies, data-informed decision-making, and exceptional relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive physician outreach and referral growth strategy
  • Identify opportunities to increase new and repeat referrals across core service lines
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with referring providers and physician groups
  • Collaborate with service line leaders and marketing to align outreach with organizational priorities
  • Utilize data analytics and CRM tools to track referral trends and measure program effectiveness
  • Lead a team of outreach specialists and ensure coordinated provider engagement
  • Represent the organization at physician meetings, events, and community functions
  • Identify and address referral barriers and coordinate timely resolution of provider concerns

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in physician relations, healthcare outreach, of business development in a hospital or health system
  • Bachelor's Degree in Busioness, Healthcare Administration, Marketing or related field

 

Preferred:

  • 2 - 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field
  • Certificaiton in healthcare marketing or outreach (e.g., SHSMD)
