Job Overview

The Manager, Pediatric Burn Service Line Development leads strategic and operational development of the Burn Service Line across the health system. The role collaborates with clinical directors, multidisciplinary teams, regional leaders, and external partners to build, expand, and optimize burn care services, and ensures alignment with accreditation standards (ABA), financial performance, quality outcomes, patient access, and prevention initiatives.

 

This role is informed by models used in burn center leadership and service line management best practices.

 

This position can be worked on either a Hybrid or Remote basis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, launch, and oversee the Burn Service Line, including strategic growth, governance, and accreditation readiness (ABA). - 20%
  • Develop business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts to support program expansion and sustainability - 15 %
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, medical directors, quality, finance, regulatory, and operations on program execution - 15%
  • Design monitoring frameworks for clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, financial performance, and patient experience - 15%
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on burn care pathways, prevention programs, and ABA standards - 10%
  • Develop staff training, community outreach, and educational initiatives locally and regionally - 10%
  • Analyze data from registry or clinical dashboards, driving continuous improvement and quality enhancement - 10%
  • Represent the service line in affiliate, regional, and national committees or professional networks - 5%

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years experience in program development, clinical operations, or service line leadership within a health system.
  • In-depth understanding of ABA verification criteria, burn clinical protocols, and care pathways.
  • Financial planning, budget oversight, and performance management abilities.
  • Excellence in stakeholder communication, executive-level presentations, and community engagement.
  • Skilled in data analysis, registry interpretation, and report generation for quality initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, team development, project management, and change management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field.

 

Preferred:

  • Burn-specific experience - direct or indirect exposure to burn care operations (may include nurse management, quality, or outreach roles.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Master's Degree - MHA, MBA, MSN, MPH or related advanced degree.
