Job Overview

Shriners Children's – Portland is currently seeking an on-call Environmental Services Technician ll to join our team! This position is responsible for cleaning of assigned area(s) of building interior/exterior; assists with set-up preparation and / or tear-down for hospital events.

 

Hours: On-Call (as-needed)

Schedule: Variable days and hours, must be available to work all shifts as needed (days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends).

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates required cleaning procedures in accordance with established Job Procedures for assigned work area(s)
  • Demonstrates correct use of required waste-disposal procedures in accordance with applicable Environmental Services Department policies
  • Correctly and safely operate and care for housekeeping equipment per Housekeeping Equipment List filed in Environmental Services Office.  Able to identify and report equipment malfunctions/needs for repairs
  • Identifies needs for building repairs in assigned hospital work areas
  • Demonstrates correct and safe dilution/mixing and use of cleaning agents approved/required for use in assigned work areas

Qualifications

Required

  • 1 year Environmental Services
  • Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks

Preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines for Housekeeping procedures 
  • Training in institutional housekeeping methods
  • Knowledge of chemical guidelines in Hazards Communication Program (MSDS's)
