Job Overview

The Patient Access Supervisor will be responsible for analyzing and overseeing all Patient Access functions and will perform QA of all Patient Access functions on a consistent basis. The Patient Access Supervisor will utilize reports to analyze registration output and compile recommendations for improvement. The Patient Access Supervisor will provide continuous training for quality improvement. The Patient Access Supervisor will stay abreast of all State, Federal and Managed Care regulations as they pertain to Patient Access. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis and oversees all patient access functions
  • Ensures Quality Assurance on registrations
  • Maintains and analyzes QA statistics and reports
  • Resolves issues in department staffing including scheduling, assignment and utilization of staff
  • Provides continuous training and communication to staff

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED required

Associate's degree in related field preferred

 

Experience

At least 3 years of patient access experience in a pediatric hospital/clinic setting required

Previous supervisory/management experience preferred

Familiarity with medical terminology preferred

Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

 

Other

Strong verbal and written communication skills
