Job Overview

The Burn Program Coordinator provides advanced clinical expertise in the specialized care of Additionally, the coordinator will develop and maintain tools to track outreach activities and directly link them to patient referral outcomes, driving program growth and excellence in burn care delivery.burn patients and serves as a key leader in program development and coordination. Working in close collaboration with the Burn Chief of Staff and the multidisciplinary burn team, this role ensures compliance with American Burn Association (ABA) standards to achieve and sustain ABA verification.

 

The coordinator will design, implement, and evaluate outreach and educational initiatives aimed at strengthening referral pathways and expanding program reach. Acting as a central point of contact and subject matter expert, this role fosters communication and alignment among key stakeholders, including physician liaisons, patient access teams, and referring provider organizations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee burn program initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care and program outcomes.
  • Manage the Burn Care Quality Platform (BCQP) to monitor, evaluate, and improve clinical performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with American Burn Association (ABA) verification standards, sustaining readiness for verification visits.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate outreach education programs to strengthen referral networks and expand program reach.
  • Coordinate Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) courses to enhance provider competence in burn care.
  • Partner with physician liaisons to analyze referral patterns, identify outreach gaps, and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to create targeted provider marketing campaigns.
  • Engage with community partners to lead and support burn prevention initiatives.
  • Provide timely feedback and educational follow-up to referring providers to ensure closed-loop communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referring providers, facilitating seamless communication and case coordination.
  • Collaborate with patient access teams and the clinical team to identify and resolve barriers to timely care.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to analyze referral trends and evaluate outreach effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with hospital and system leadership to develop data-driven strategies for increasing patient referrals and enhancing program visibility.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSN
  • RN Licensure in state of practice
  • CPR
  • ABLS certification (within 2 years of hire)
  • CBRN (within 2 years of hire)
  • 3 to 5 years of burn experience

 

Preferred:

  • Masters
