Job Overview

The Motion Analysis Center Physical Therapist (MAC PT) reports directly to the System MAC PT (SMAC PT), provides evaluation and motion analysis center services, including direct patient care, patient/family and education in an efficient, age-appropriate and culturally sensitive manner upon a referral from a licensed independent practitioner.  The MAC PT collaborates with the medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design an individualized treatment plan to meet the needs of the pediatric patient and their family.  The MAC PT is responsible for personal professional growth and development through ongoing education and research.  The MAC PT collaborates with the SMAC PT and local leaders, to provide exceptional care following the Shriners Children's FOCUSED Program.  This program is a system-wide model for professional practice that emphasizes patient-centered care and always prioritizes the needs of patients and their families.  Shriners Children's Spokane is looking for a part time Staff Therapist (MAC) to join the team!

 

Schedule: Part time FTE.5 (in person)

 

(Pay range for this position is $33.79/hr - $57.94/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education).

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient and family education regarding the motion analysis evaluation
  • Provide facility specific clinical lines of service, which may include but is not limited to gait, upper extremity, spine, sports and wheelchair analysis
  • Ensures proper scheduling and coverage of all clinical care needs
  • Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting all data, including but not limited to kinematics, kinetics, EMG, pedobarograph, O2 consumption, and video analysis
  • Leads scheduled motion analysis patient reviews with MAC staff, physicians and additional allied health professionals
  • Generates a concise and clearly written physical therapy evaluation that summarizes and integrates the pertinent findings of the motion lab evaluation including the patient history, physical exam, spatial and temporal parameters, kinematics, kinetics, electromyography evaluations, foot pressure distribution analysis and other assessments
  • As needed, participates in research and quality improvement projects developed by SMAC PT, SMAC engineer and/or MAC developmental Specialist
  • Assist the SMAC PT in obtaining and maintaining CMLA accreditation

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor Physical Therapy
  • Licensed in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred

  • Master's Physical Therapy
  • 2 Years Motion analysis lab
  • PCS,OCS,NCS, and CHT
  • Physical therapy background in pediatrics, neuromuscular conditions, sports, motion analysis interpretation
