Job Overview

The Sr. Maintenance Technician works as part of the team to support the ongoing building maintenance program.  In this position, you'll perform maintenance inspections and repairs as needed including facility lighting, routine painting, plumbing, electrical and other related maintenance activities.  In addition, you'll utilize your knowledge and skills to perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency situations in the hospital facility.

 

This is a full time position.  Schedule is generally Monday through Friday with rotating call over the weekend every 5-6 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, inspects, maintains, calibrates and repairs utility equipment, systems and structures throughout the building
  • Performs mechanical repairs to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
  • Performs preventative maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Ensures proper safety education and demonstrates knowledge of facility safety policies.
  • Covers evening, night and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED required

Electrician license in state of practice preferred 
HVAC certification preferred
Refrigeration certification preferred

Boiler Operator License preferred

 

Experience

7 years maintenance/engineering experience required

Plumbing experience required
