Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Our team of highly specialized physicians provides comprehensive care for children with fractures, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, scoliosis, spinal cord conditions, and spine injuries.
The Surgical Technologist performs all scrub duties for surgical procedures and functions as an integral member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital, participates in quality improvement activities and reports to the Director of Surgical Services. This is a per diem position.
Education
High School Diploma / GED
Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
Certification/Licensure
Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
CPR required
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience scrub tech experience
Two years orthopaedics experience
Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures
