Job Overview

Director, Plant Facilities directs hospital-wide activities / functions in the Engineering / Maintenance, Environmental Services, Risk Management / Security, and BioMed departments.  Responsible for administering Utility and Vehicles budgets.  Provides oversight to ensure TJC and OSHA compliance. Shriners Portland is looking for a full time Director, Plant Facilities to join the team!

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates use of effective problem-solving, conflict management, and team-building methods
  • Develops, maintains, and implements division PI programs utilizing quality improvement and other data.  Prepares scheduled report/(s) within established deadlines for presentation at meetings
  • Functions as liaison between the Hospital and applicable regulatory agencies
  • Interprets/administers applicable federal state, and local regulations
  • Functions as administrative liaison/consultant between applicable committees (and/or established work teams) and direct-report departments
  • Develops, maintains and implements division systems and action plans which support established Patient Rights policy
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, processes, and programs which provide a safe environment for occupants of the hospital building, assists hospital departments with facility/safety-related issues
  • Maintains hospital-wide Risk Management functions related to physical property loss
  • Directs hospital construction projects, functioning as Project Representative
  • Functions as hospital liaison with the Board of Governors Building & Equipment Committee

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate in Related Field
  • 5 Years Senior level plant facilities management / supervisory experience

Preferred

  • 1 year HVAC systems and controls
  • 1 year Refrigeration Systems
  • 1 year Boiler Operation
