Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction and clinical support to nursing staff to promote quality patient care and a safe work environment. 
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance/tardiness, and professional work environment with a team approach. 
  • Supervise the orientation of new staff, educating staff on policies and procedures and always look for performance improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains effective communication with all levels of hospital personnel.
  • Reviews staff documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provides support and direction for telemedicine activities.
  • Facilitates patient care by managing and individualizing care for patients and their families and helping with  decision making, patient education, and coordination of services.
  • Maintain clinic process and flow to avoid delays and ensure best use of available staff.
  • Ensures staff members maintain competencies for all clincial procedures.

 

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree (BSN) 

3 years’ experience in Nursing

1 years’ experience in a supervisory position

Active RN license in State of practice

BLS and PALS

 

Preferred

1 year pediatric or orthopedic nursing
