Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a PRN Child Life Assistant. Hours will be 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  The hours may vary slightly based on patient needs.  We invite you to become a part of our great team here in Child Life.

Responsibilities

The PRN Child Life Assistant provides opportunities for the patient to gain a sense of mastery of play, for learning, for self-expression, for family involvement and for peer interaction, based on guidance from the Child Life Specialist.  

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma/GED

BLS certification or obtained within 3 months

Excellent computer, communication, organizational, prioritization and telephone skills

Availability to work on the weekends

 

Other:

Basic knowledge of child development

Ability to build rapport quickly with children and families of diverse cultures

Bilingual preferred
