Job Overview

Shriners Children's Greenville is looking for a dynamic RN to join our team as our next Clinical Coordinator for our pediatric specialty clinics.  The Clinical Coordinator (RN) plays a key role in coordinating and facilitating care for patients seen in specialized multidisciplinary clinics, including Tone Management Clinic, Rett Syndrome Clinic, Genetics Clinic, and Spina Bifida Clinic. This position works closely with patients, families, outside providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless coordination and continuity of care.

 

The coordinator also supports clinical operations and assists the nurse practitioner and physicians with procedures such as Baclofen trials, Baclofen pump refills, and Botox/Dysport injections. In addition, this role includes occasional collaboration, coordination, and oversight of activities involving the International Coordinator, to support international patients receiving care within the pediatric orthopedic specialty programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary nursing contact and care coordinator for patients in pediatric orthopedic specialty clinics.
  • Collaborate with referring and outside providers to coordinate multidisciplinary care plans.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, specialists, and external providers to ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
  • Work closely with the nurse practitioner to assist with in-clinic procedures, including Baclofen trials, Baclofen pump refills, and Botox/Dysport injections.
  • Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and collaboration with the International Coordinator as needed to ensure appropriate coordination of care for international patients.
  • Participate in patient education, counseling, and support related to treatment plans and ongoing care.
  • Coordinate clinic scheduling, documentation, and data tracking for specialty programs.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the pediatric orthopedic program.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and families navigating complex medical needs.

Qualifications

Education

ADN required

BSN preferred

 

Certification/Licensure

RN license in state of practice required

Basic Life Support (BLS) required

 

Experience

3 years nursing experience required

1 year supervisory experience required

1 year of pediatric or orthopedic nursing experience required

 

Epic experience preferred

 

Other

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational skills
