Job Overview

The Patient Care Assistant/NAC works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, performing duties as assigned, with patient care delivered in a safe manner.  Nursing Assistant that is able to function in a role that is accountable for providing comprehensive family-centered care to patients and families in the Inpatient Department.  Shriners Spokane is looking for a Patient Care Assistant/ NAC to join our team!

 

Schedule:  Full time 1.0 FTE,  (M-F 5:00AM-1:30PM)

 

 

The pay range for this position is $16.92-$25.38/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, apply, and monitor orthotic devices, and traction, facilitating safe and timely acclimatization
  • Ambulate & ADL 
  • Utilization of skills and knowledge in accordance with hospital policies and procedures to perform tasks necessary for optimal patient care
  • Maintain ward order to provide a clean, presentable, and safe environment
  • Routine assessment of unit stock par levels and expiration 
  • Provide accurate, complete, and legal information in the Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner consistent with unit work flow needs
  • Additional tasks as delegated by RN

Qualifications

Required

  • Certificate Nursing Assistant
  • Certified Nurse Assistant License (CNA)

Preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Less than 1 year Health-care setting, Pediatrics, Adolescence
