Job Overview

We have a per diem Cast Tech position available!

 

The Cast Technician will provide assistance to the medical staff in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction and other splint or motion devices as ordered. informs patients/families, staff and students about the use and care of casts and traction devices. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains cast room and supplies.
  • Applies holding casts or splints per physician protocol.

  • Assists the physician with cast application.

  • Ability to interrelate with children and families.

This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One year of related work experience

 

Preferred:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate
  • Casting experience
  • Orthopedic Cast Technician program completions. 
  • One year of experience as Orthopedic Technician
