About Shriners Children’s Philadelphia
Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Located in North Philadelphia on the Main Campus of Temple University Hospital, Shriners Children's Philadelphia is a 49-bed pediatric specialty hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive care for children with orthopedic conditions and spinal cord injuries. The hospital offers a range of services, including orthopedics, spine surgery, sports medicine, scoliosis treatment, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and pediatric rehabilitation and therapy. The facility is Joint Commission accredited, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. We offer low-cost, on-site parking. We also have outreach clinics in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Dorado, Puerto Rico, which provide children and families with access to high-quality, specialized care in our neighboring communities and beyond.
Shriners Children's Philadelphia is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC or FNP) to join our inpatient unit. Manage a patient census of approximately 18–20 patients per day, dividing care responsibilities with one other APP.
Provide medical management and support of post-operative pediatric patients on the inpatient unit.
Perform procedures including chest tube and drain removal, wound care, and wound vac management.
Participate in daily rounds at the start of each shift.
Collaborate with surgeons, residents, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
