Job Overview

The Lab Materials Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of shipping, receiving and inventory control processes for orthotic and prosthetic material, to facilitate effective, cost efficient ordering practices, act as a liaison to communicate materials/purchasing concerns to the POPS Manager, and provide pediatric orthotic/prosthetic fabrication services using the latest in fabrication techniques including CAD/CAM and carver technology.

Responsibilities

Purchasing

  • Coordinate orthotic and prosthetic purchasing, backorders, returns, warranty devices, patient specific and stock items in the lab.

 

Shipping & Receiving

  • Receive and process all shipping and receiving of packages for Northern California and central fabrication work areas.

 

Maintain Product Data

  • Maintain current product data in OPIE software for serial numbers, packing slips, shipping information, order history and patient specific orders.

 

Track Purchases

  • Document and track purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and documentation requirements.

 

Customer Contact

  • Act as the laboratory contact person for customer questions and concerns.

 

Communication

  • Consult and communicate with the Fabrication Coordinator for completion of Central Fabrication orders within timelines per POPs policies.

 

Storage & Stocking

  • Design laboratory materials and stocking process, procedures and organized storage for consistency and quality.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Computer proficiency and ability to work with CAD/CAM
  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred:

  • 1 Year Orthotic Technician, non-certified
  • 1 Year O&P - Pediatrics
