Shriners Children’s is looking for a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Shriners Children’s Northern California. This provider will support inpatient burn care, outpatient plastics and burn clinic, and operative services. This position offers exposure to complex burn management, reconstructive procedures, and participation in a growing laser reconstruction program (training provided).
The APP will rotate between clinic, inpatient burn coverage, and the OR, working alongside surgeons and two APPs who share coverage across care settings. Responsibilities include burn takedowns and dressing changes under sedation, laser treatments, and cross-coverage support in related clinics as needed.
This position entails a 0.5 FTE commitment, with a schedule consisting of full workdays only, alternating between three days one week and two days the next, with anticipated workdays on Monday and Friday plus either Wednesday or Thursday. Standard hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility as the program evolves.
The position is open to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners (preferably PNP). OR participation is expected; RNFA certification is required for NPs (not required for PAs). Candidates without RNFA will be considered and supported in obtaining certification.
The pay range for this position is $81,500-$115,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on years of advanced practice experience and departmental equity.
