We are a premier pediatric specialty, research, and academic teaching hospital with a medical and research partnership with Massachusetts General Brigham. It is the world’s leading center for pediatric burn care and is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in New England and New York.
The Patient Access Representative functions as a resource to staff and the general public regarding the new patient intake process and all assigned areas of responsibility. The assistant performs all functions related to processing new requests for treatment including self-referrals, healthcare professional referrals and Shriner referrals. This position is also responsible for scheduling and pre-registration of the initial ambulatory clinic appointment and performs several functions related to inpatient hospital admission.
The pay range for this position is $22.94/hr - $34.41/hr. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Requirements include new patient intake and new patient appointment scheduling processing; admissions processing; and updating patient demographics. This position will also serve as a backup to registration.
