Job Overview

The Supply Chain Technician supports supply chain functions of the hospital.  Responsible for receiving, issuing and distributing stock and non-stock supplies to departments.  Maintains a balanced, accurate and perpetual inventory system, as well as the processing of mail and other shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Support, advise and assist departmental managers within their hospital with supply chain needs
  • Support and participate in Corporate Supply Chain initiatives
  • Support the shipping, receiving, inventory control and dispatch functions of Supply Chain
    • Ensures materials received are accurately processed upon receipt
    • Processes store room requisitions accurately upon receipt, completing delivery of items before the end of the business day
    • Processes hospital wide mail and shipment
  • Assist with cycle/inventory counts consistent with corporate guidelines

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Working computer ability/knowledge
  • Ability to consistently lift and move items up to 50 pounds

 

Preferred:

  • 2 years’ experience in supply chain/materials management preferred
