We have a per diem Cast Tech position available!  Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday, between 7am-4:30pm.  There is a generally consistent need for Fridays; needs vary for Monday -Thursday depending on the week.

The Cast Technician will provide assistance to the medical staff in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction and other splint or motion devices as ordered. informs patients/families, staff and students about the use and care of casts and traction devices. 

• Maintains cast room and supplies.

• Applies holding casts or splints per physician protocol.

• Assists the physician with cast application.

• Ability to interrelate with children and families.

Required: 

High School diploma/GED

Basic Life Support (BLS) 

Preferred:

American Association of Medical Assistants Certification (AAMA), or the American Medical Technologist Registered Medical Assistant Certification.
Certification of National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologist or American Society of Orthopedic Professionals certification is preferred or minimum 2 years as cast technician.
