Shriners Children's Shreveport has a full time Patient Registrar position available!

Schedule is Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week.  Schedule could be within 7am-5pm. 

The Patient Registrar is the first person that our patients and caregivers will have the opportunity to interact.  This position provides support to our patients by working with the caregiver to schedule appointments, perform pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients, and providing patients with information regarding access to additional external financial resources.  In this position, you will have the opportunity to support our patients with issues dealing with scheduling and questions for the provider(s).  In addition, you will maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies by obtaining various consents.

• Schedules or reschedules clinic appointments
• Ensures outpatients scheduled for visits are registered in the EMR
• Sends written notifications of regularly scheduled appointments to patients and families.
• Orients all new patients and families to the Outpatient department

• High School diploma preferred
• Experience in scheduling and registration preferred
• Clinical experience with knowledge in medical procedures, terminology and documentation preferred
