Job Overview

The Facility Support Assistant is responsible for handling staff requests related to Building Operations. Provides labor to move items, delivers office supplies and runs local errands. Performs general office and campus maintenance for situations that do not warrant or justify completion by outside vendors. Assists in ensuring that both the inside and outside facilities are maintained in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work orders as directed by department manager ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Maintains adequate levels of supplies to complete tasks assigned.
  • Maintains an inventory of tools necessary to complete tasks.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for HQ staff for the delivery of office supplies and completion of work orders related to the office and campus environment.
  • Supports the department staff in completing assignments that require multiple parties.
  • Monitors interior and exterior of building and take steps necessary to ensure the facilities are maintained in a manner that promotes a professional image.
  • Processes outgoing mail and makes delivery to the local U.S. Post Office each weekday evening.
  • Provides support for office meetings including pre- and post-meeting room logistical changes as well as the timely ordering, delivering, removing of refreshments.
  • Coordinates and ensures prompt delivery of break room supplies including water, janitorial and paper supplies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Ability lift over 50 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to carry up to 30 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs without assistance

 

Preferred:

  • 3 years of related job experience
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Prior experience with interior and exterior painting and pressure washing
