Job Overview

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.

Compensation:  The pay range for this position is $40.06 hourly to $60.09 hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.

Responsibilities

  • Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care
  • Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the patient and their family.
  • Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as mentoring and providing education to students and other professionals.
  • Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education necessary to obtain License in State of Practice
  • Massachusetts PT license

 

Preferred:  

  • 1 year physical therapy experience; will consider new grads
  • Pediatric experience
