Job Overview

The Nurse Clinical Coordinator provides leadership, direction and clinical support to nursing staff to promote quality patient care and a safe work environment.  The successful leader will monitor staff performance, attendance/tardiness, and professional work environment with a team approach.  In this position, you'll be responsible for supervising orientation of new staff, educating staff on policies and procedures and always look for performance improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes excellence in all clinical activities
  • Serves as a clinical resource to staff
  • Supervises, evaluates and promotes counseling to staff on their performance
  • Supervises staff members of the Outpatient Department to assure patient needs are met
  • Monitors quality of care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards of practice

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BSN) required

 

Experience

3 years’ experience as pediatric acute care setting required

1 years’ experience pediatric burns preferred

 

Other

Active RN license in State of practice

BLS required

PALS required within 6 months of employment
