Job Overview

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for part-time Pediatric Registered Nurse in our PACU / Same Day Surgery Department. Hours: Our PACU team enjoys a quality work-life balance. This part-time position will work 10-hour shifts and 60 hours bi-weekly.  

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you get the opportunity to participate in daily planning via patient rounds. You'll work as part of the interdisciplinary team for the plan of care for our patients.
  • The PACU Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the recovery room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe after surgery. 
  • The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSN degree or in process
  • Ohio RN License
  • One year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtained within one year of hire

Preferred:

  • Pediatric experience
