Job Overview

The Appointment Coordinator accurately schedules appointments, enters data into computerized appointment system, answers phones and directs calls as needed.  Always ensuring accurate patient information is entered into computer and routes printed information to designated department.  Shriners Spokane is looking for a part time Appointment Coordinator to join our team!

 

Schedule: Part-time, 0.5 FTE

 

The pay range for this position is $17.13 - $25.38/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & rescheduling , creating ad-hoc appointments, check in & check-out and changing appointment statuses for the Rehab Department.
  • Registration, updating, quick/trauma admit, discharge and downtime conversion.
  • Utilizing Power Chart for additional information when needed, orders matrix and patient schedule tab.
  • Cross trained to ensure relief for other scheduling positions as assigned.
  • Prepares and completes medical record review to include analysis, documentation, and physician order completion.
  • Receives, assesses and routes telephone calls.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 Year Scheduling,registration and insurance verification
  • 1 Year Medical Secretary
