Job Overview

The Corporate Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for the development and production of a wide array of marketing materials as assigned. The Coordinator should be a person who can think strategically about marketing objectives to support both internal and external communications This individual should consistently uphold and enforce the brand standards for Shriners International and Shriners Children’s across all projects assigned to them. This position offers support to internal and external stakeholders regarding requests for creative assets and provides creative production work as well as administrative help as needed. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator should be an individual with a strong sense of urgency who ensures that all assignments are prioritized appropriately to meet required deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A team player who is always looking for a new project will succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service support and triage of calls from the Marketing and Communication Department’s main telephone line. Visitors and callers are greeted in a courteous and professional manner. Calls are transferred to appropriate individuals.
  • Provide coverage for the Shriners International Headquarters’ main telephone line and face-to-face customer service support at the reception area on a daily basis. This may include regular coverage for morning/afternoon breaks, lunch breaks, or coverage for PTO for the HQ Receptionist.
  • Manage registration for Marketing and Communications conferences. Assist with assembling packets and other materials needed for the conferences. Create name badges for attendees. Onsite registration support at Marketing and Communications conferences. Coordinate and oversee photo shoots as needed.
  • Assist with assembling materials needed at Imperial Session and package for mailing. Ensure materials are ready for shipment by deadline date and that all necessary items are packed.
  • Maintain databases to track various projects including Dromedary Awards, Essay Contest, Photo Contest, RSVP lists and other initiatives.
  • Assemble and deliver mailings and other materials in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide assistance to the Marketing and Communications staff by performing duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations. Perform other general duties as needed to meet deadlines as required. One sheets, publications, and other materials are filed in a timely and orderly manner. Coordinate courier service. Photocopying as requested. Maintain inventory for office and kitchen supplies.
  • Coordinate delivery of hospital displays to Shriners Children’s locations, Temples and Associations.
  • Maintain global email distribution lists for Marketing and Communications directors, HDQ Marketing and Communications department, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 years of communications/media/public relations experience
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Proficiency with a multi-line switchboard console
  • Correct spelling and use of punctuation with close attention to accuracy and detail
  • Associate's Degree in related field

 

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
